Are the Goochii Poochii bath products 100% organic?
NO, Goochii Poochii is not 100% natural and 100% organic. Why? Our formula contains no pathlates, parabens, sulfates, silicone or derivatives, mineral oil, nor petrolatum, or any pesticides which makes it more “organic” than the leaders of the industry! They are made of the purest food grade ingredients possible. But because we use a very specific preservative system, that is rated GRAS (generally recognized as safe), we do not qualify for 100% organic! We believe that being safe with our preservative system is more important than using the loosely regulated/understood inferior system of preservatives. Rather than put the risk of possible contaminants that may attack a 100% organic system, we preserve our product with a proven system that is safe. When and if the “organic world of chemistry” can guarantee the safety of our product, we will move that direction!
My kids bathe the pets, how safe is it for them?
Most don't realize that your children are at risk when applying pet care products to pets due to possible transdermal absorption! They are also at risk by simply petting the animal and getting the residue of shampoos, treatments, and flea/tick treatments on their hands. This leaves them at risk of transdermal absorption, and also, can pass it to their system if eating with their hands after having pet the animal! Goochii Poochii is food-grade goodness, with no questionable chemicals. Even your pet, who grooms himself afterwards, is ingesting food-grade Goochii Poochii goodness!
Is it safe for puppies?
Yes! And it is also safe for cats and kittens, too! The pH is balanced at 6.5 which is a bit below animals pH and yet comfortable for the pet. It is also low enough to keep human skin in good pH during the grooming process. Goochii Poochii has no silicone (dimethecone, trmethicone, polysiloxilane, etc.) which may be coating the coat and skin and when licked off by the pet, it may be coating intestines of the animal, thus slowing its ability to absorb nutrients from its diet! That’s food for thought!
However, do not bathe a puppy every 2 weeks as advised for adult dogs as their skin is more sensitive and gets irritated much more easily.
Are the Goochii Poochii products tearless?
No, Goochii Poochii is not tearless. As always, use care when washing your pets and avoid the eyes with any product you may be using.
Is the Goochii Poochii formula hypoallergenic?
Yes, our formula is hypoallergenic. In fact, reports show that hotspots heal faster, itching stops, and pets are comfortable and extremely shiny! Oh, fleas and ticks hate the taste of our recipe! We also left out the strong essential oils commonly used to deflect fleas because they usually irritate the sensitive animal skin, and we don't find it necessary with our flea-unappealing recipe! By the way, Goochii Poochii smells great and is made of food, but we promise it tastes terrible…so don't taste or eat any!
Why does my dog’s coat look so much shinier after being washed with Goochii Poochii?
We found a way to use natural oil extracts that kinda fill the “hairs” or fur because they are so molecularly small… It also seems that the fleas just can'thang on as well, plus just don't like the taste! The residue that is left is food-grade, and if you get it on yourself or your kids, it’s probably a good thing.
How often should I bathe my dog?
It’s up to you and your dog. Because it leaves their natural skin environment and pH intact, you won't be disrupting their natural protection. Also, because it’s food-grade, you are also leaving the environment in good shape as well! No 3-eyed animal mutants in the lakes and streams! And don't forget to recycle the bottles before you buy more!
Should I lather my animal twice?
It only depends on how dirty your beast is! The MOST important thing is …..rinsing!!! Rinse the Lave at least a minute more than you think is good. Same with the Detangle! Rinse it very, very well. Some groomers have said that the trick to extreme shine and groomablity is to rinse Goochii Poochii to the fullest!
